Am I a people's person?

Written by: anonym On January 6th, 2009
  • I didn't really thought about it until recently I realised that whenever any of my friends have any grievances, they always approach me first to talk about them and they always say once they talk to me they felt so much better. I'm not sure whether I give the best consolation but my friends said that I also analyse the situation reasonably and logically so it makes them feel better.

I also have a quite a number of friends, in fact I have 7 best friends. I'm an introvert by nature so I don't approach people readily, its others who approach me and we become friends after that. They have said I look very approachable because I have no airs and because I'm small size, I look less intimidating.

I also realised that I find it very hard to turn down someone when they approach me for help even though I have my own things to do. Even for guys who I don't like, I also sometimes go out with them because i feel bad in turning them down.

Does that make me a people pleaser? Is that a good thing?

  • If they get use to it, then you will be very busy. I think, it will waste alot of time to keep listening to their story. If it was chit chatting is fine, but if it is for becoming their persuader, i think seldom/occasionally still possible for me but too many of their story i will stress up.

  • You are a people person but not a 'people pleaser". You are helping your friends..

  • lol! a friend in need is a friend indeed
but a friend who bleeds is better

  • a friend in need, is a pain in the ***!

    truth???

my bet ...... you're the friend in need!

  • you are a shallow pushover
