I think it ruins the brain as it makes you accept things just because you are told they are true. I am not a athiest as I do not claim to know all the answers all I know is most religions require you to accept some very idiotic ideas. My nan is a christian and is always helping people I think that is great but most christians and muslims I meet seem full of hate and angerit doesnt do anything for me yeah its there but i dont feel angry or happy i feel nothingMuslims are full of hate and anger. Some christians are full of hate and anger. Christians and muslims try to spread their religion, sometimes by force; jews don't.it is not the religion it is the people in the religion that make it so complicated. Because the religion does not change but the way that some people bring it out changes everythingIt's a bit of a silly question but the answer is
no - (I'm not full of hate and anger and have an IQ of 155)Some Christians are in it for themselves with a side of others.
Other Christians (like my self) are in it for others with a side of themselves.
This second category are the real Christians. The ones who follow Jesus and His ways without question. It doesn't ruin your brain. First of all it's nice to have beliefs even if they aren't in god or anything along them lines. Some people take it too far however and just decide they are better then everyone because of what they believe this applies to every religion and includes atheists. It's very sad that (most) people don't follow what they learn as children tolerance, acceptance, and respect. As a child you question everything when you get older you stop I don't really understand why lack of time? People who are full of hate and anger are like that because of things that have happened in their life not religion. Helping people thats something that good people do regardless of religion of beliefs. You really can't say all Christians are horrible people and all atheists are pig headed and stubborn because there are a lot that aren't.I don't know.. when I was in school folks were trying to convert me to atheism and accept evolution simply because "So and so" believes it. That's pretty thickheaded sheepish behavior, don't you think?
I wound up having the chance to study the science behind it, and the evidence for and against it. Boy, was that an eye opener.I think that hypnosis does. Therefore, in real time, the thing about any lifestyle is that it needs constant attention.Food makes you thick.
Religion makes you stupid.I fully disagree. Brainless people wreck religion. Religion does not wreck good brains.no I actually am very open minded.I'm an atheist but you're a bigot.true, but I have to admit some Christians are smart, but the fundies are giving them a bad name..well doesn't matter, christians and fundies have the same system of belief - faithNot religion, but the blind acceptence of religion wirthout understanding the true concepts and goals of it.This is interesting and I think you make a valid point.
Christ taught unconditional love and itâ ™s hard sometimes, in our day in age to live by that creed.
I think Christ is missing in Christianity overall, not that Christ is missing from people who are Christian, but in the churches itself I think lack the ability to show it.
I think Religion is a great thing for some people. I donâ ™t think it forces you to accept anything you donâ ™t want to, only weak minded people are forced to think anyway that isnâ ™t their own..
This is true for anything, not just religion.
Religion's "idiotic" ideas are often misinterpreted by Idiotic religions. There are plenty of idiots in the world and thatâ ™s not always their fault.. The ideas Religion gives us are the building blocks of society, one that has basically remained unchanged since the beginning of civilizations. Most religions have moral and health codes. Things that many people didnâ ™t have in those days.
As we evolve intellectually over time and have adopted or incorporated many of these codes knowingly or unknowingly into our lives, we may find a lot of things from ancient religions silly or aloof, sometimes downright wrong. And thatâ ™s ok..
Religious people just like anyone else can think for themselves and should. However when it comes down to it, and Doctrine aside, everyone should be like your nan, which is becoming rarer as time goes on.
I do hope that one day the love that Jesus spoke of will return the Christian Church as a whole and we can move on from all the things of the world that are holding us back.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
